According to ancient Slavic beliefs, the guelder rose berries (Ягода калина) help against 99 diseases, therefore the Slavs call the berry a sacred berry. The practice of folk medicine has shown that the guelder rose is especially effective with honey, such a mixture of honey is called a miracle cure. In modern medicine, guelder rose berries are used with honey against colds, coughs, bronchitis and liver and gallbladder problems and to stimulate the heart. Guelder rose berries are a source of vitamins, containing vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9 (folic acid), C (2-3 times more than lemon), A, E (2 mg more than citrus fruits), K and P. The berries are used to alleviate and prevent a number of health problems. Inter alia, these are used as a sedative and as an agent which lowers blood pressure, generally strengthens the body and stimulates the heart. Prolonged use of the berries reduces the amount of cholesterol in the blood. The berries have a diuretic effect as well as an anti-inflammatory effect. Guelder rose berries can lower blood pressure! Honey may cause allergies!

USE: The recommended daily dose is 2 tbsp. The use of a food supplement is not a substitute for a varied diet and a healthy lifestyle.
